OOOHHHH here it comes. The infamous resolutions that tend to always fall through during some point of in the year. This is the point where I tell myself, “Not this time!” Yea, okay. Lisha let’s be real here……
So that’s what I’m doing! I am creating realistic goals for myself this year. These goals will not end at 2017 or 2018 or 2019. They will go on for however I feel comfortable with.
Eating healthy. Yea, this is a common goal for a good portion of the world’s population. We all have our weekend slips of cheesecake or a glass of wine (we really mean bottle, seriously). And that’s okay. I personally think that going cold turkey isn’t something that I would like to do. Now that’s a talent!
Time Management. This was my goal of last year. And it has certainly shown some improvement! On a cereal note, I’ve gone through like 5 planners since January 2016. For a person who has a serious obsession with sticky’s, this is not my strong suit. Which brings me to my final goal!
Budget Management. I don’t even need to say much for this. I have a spending problem, and I own it.
These three goals are actions I can control the outcomes of. I shouldn’t have any excuses as to why I cannot accomplish all three of these goals by the end of 2017.
Not everyone makes resolutions. And if they do, not everyone makes them at the beginning of a new year. Some are more often than others. If you seek the need for a change, then freakn’ do it. Your biggest obstacle is only yourself. So don’t forget to stop and embrace your past accomplishments. It’s always a great reminder of how far you’ve come and how far you will allow yourself to go. All of the sweat, blood, and tears will be worth it. I’m beginning to realize that for myself!
